Frequently asked questions
How much is a typical commission?
The price of my work generally depends on size and finish. Larger work requires more resources and more time to complete and therefore is more expensive. Please contact me for an estimate, there’s no harm in asking! If you decide to go ahead, I usually ask for a 25% deposit for commissioned work.
How long might a typical commission take to create?
Depending on the size of the piece it would usually take a minimum of two weeks to complete. This could take up to twelve weeks in busy periods. Please contact me for an up to date waiting period.
I'm not sure what size piece I need in my space?
Please contact me if you need advice about the size of piece needed. I am able to offer advice and may be able to make visual mock ups to give you an idea of proportions and scale.
How much is Postage and Packaging (P&P)?
I am based in Lincolnshire so arrangements can be made to deliver work in person if you are local. My work can also be posted and generally costs between £8 to £20 (depending on size and weight) to deliver to UK mainland addresses.
What is your returns policy?
We do not accept returns, however, if your order arrives damaged please contact me and we can discuss a way forward.
Is there anywhere I shouldn't hang a painting?
Art work is either finished with varnish or resin, both of which are UV stable meaning that it will not yellow with exposure to light over time. However, it is always recommended that art work is not hung over a direct heat source or in direct, bright sunlight as it could cause fading or warping.
Where can I see your work in person?
Please contact me if you are local to Lincolnshire or visiting and would like to see my work in the flesh with no obligation to buy.
